What GLP-2T is.

GLP-2T is a 39-amino-acid synthetic peptide built on a GIP backbone and tuned so it activates both the GIP receptor and the GLP-1 receptor — the two incretin signals the gut releases when food arrives. Compounds with this dual profile are sometimes called twincretins, and they sit at the center of modern metabolic pharmacology.

A fatty-diacid chain on the peptide binds serum albumin, protecting it from clearance and giving it a long duration of action. That engineering is what separates research-grade dual agonists from the native hormones, which survive only minutes in circulation.

Where the research points.

The scientific question behind GLP-2T is crosstalk: what do GIP and GLP-1 signalling do together that neither does alone? Published work spans receptor-bias studies (the compound engages the GIP receptor with full potency and the GLP-1 receptor with deliberately imbalanced potency), insulin-secretion assays in islet preparations, and appetite and glucose models in rodents.

Because dual agonism outperformed single agonism in so much preclinical work, GLP-2T has become the class reference — the molecule newer multi-receptor designs are measured against. Labs building comparative studies usually anchor one arm with it.

No. GLP-2T is supplied strictly for laboratory research. It is not for human or veterinary use, and every order requires agreement to our research-use policy.

One peptide, two receptors. GLP-2T binds and activates both the GIP receptor and the GLP-1 receptor, so a single compound can probe how the two incretin pathways interact — something you can't cleanly do by co-dosing two separate peptides with different half-lives.

For years GIP was the overlooked incretin. Dual-agonist studies revived it: preclinical work suggests GIP-receptor activity shapes insulin response and adipose-tissue signalling in ways that complement GLP-1 activity, and much of the current literature is untangling that contribution.
