IGF-1 LR3 is a redesigned version of insulin-like growth factor-1 — thirteen extra amino acids and one key substitution, changes that stop it from being trapped by the body's binding proteins.

Free of those proteins, it stays active far longer than native IGF-1. That's what makes it the standard tool in cell-proliferation and growth-signalling studies where sustained activity matters.

Keep the sealed vials in the fridge and out of direct light — they’ll hold up for a long time that way. Once a vial is mixed, keep it refrigerated and use it within the window your protocol calls for.

Every batch we sell is tested by an independent U.S. lab before it goes up for sale — that report is the certificate of analysis, and a copy is included with every order. Want the one for your exact vial? Email the lot number printed on the label to [email protected] and we’ll send it over within one business day.

Don’t take our word for it.

Frequently asked questions.

No. Everything we sell is strictly for laboratory and research use. Every vial is labeled "research use only — not for human or veterinary use", and you'll be asked to agree to our research-use policy at checkout.
Every batch is sent to an independent U.S. lab before we sell a single vial of it. They measure how pure it actually is and confirm the compound is exactly what the label says. The number you see is the number they measured — we never copy figures from a supplier's paperwork.
Yes, and we'd encourage it. Every vial has a lot number printed on the label. Email that number to [email protected] and we'll send you the full report for your exact batch, charts included, within one business day.
Keep the sealed vials in the fridge and out of direct light — they'll hold up for a long time that way. Once a vial is mixed, keep it refrigerated and use it within the window your protocol calls for.
Orders placed before 2pm ET go out the same business day. Anything after that ships the next morning. Everything is packed in protective, unbranded packaging and you'll get a tracking link by email as soon as it leaves us.
We ship across the United States, and shipping is tracked on every order. You'll see the exact cost at checkout before you pay — no surprises added at the last step.
Email us with your order number and a photo and we'll make it right — a replacement or a refund, whichever you'd rather have. Every order is covered, so you're never stuck with a vial you can't use.
Yes. Orders ship in plain, unbranded packaging with nothing on the outside describing what's inside. Your billing statement simply shows our company name.
Of course. Email [email protected] with any question — about a specific compound, a lab report, or an order in progress — and a real person will get back to you, usually the same day, Monday through Friday.

What IGF-1 LR3 is.

IGF-1 LR3 is insulin-like growth factor-1 redesigned to escape its own regulatory system. Two changes define it: an arginine swapped in at position 3 (the R3), and thirteen extra amino acids extending the N-terminus (the Long). Together they collapse the molecule's affinity for IGF-binding proteins — the plasma proteins that normally sequester the vast majority of circulating IGF-1.

Native IGF-1 in serum is almost entirely protein-bound and biologically parked. LR3, unable to be captured, stays free and active — the property the molecule was engineered for.

Where the research points.

LR3's home is the cell-culture laboratory. It is a standard proliferation-assay tool and a workhorse media supplement in biomanufacturing, where sustained IGF-1-receptor signalling keeps production cell lines growing — a role it has filled industrially for decades.

In signalling research it lets labs study IGF-1-receptor activation — PI3K/Akt and MAPK cascades, myoblast and other proliferation models — without the confound of binding-protein dynamics. When the question is receptor biology rather than IGF transport, LR3 is the cleaner reagent.

On the bench.

Verified at 98.6%+ purity and supplied lyophilized with batch identity and endotoxin screening. As an 83-amino-acid protein it is the largest molecule in our growth line and the least forgiving of abuse: strictly −20 °C lyophilized, gentle reconstitution without vortexing, minimal freeze–thaw.

It represents the far downstream end of the growth axis — GHRH analogues and secretagogues upstream drive GH, which drives IGF-1; LR3 lets a study enter the cascade at its final signalling step directly.

The published record runs deeper than any product page should. For the primary literature, browse IGF-1 LR3 studies on PubMed. For how every batch we sell is verified, see how we test.

IGF-1 LR3 — common questions.

No. IGF-1 LR3 is supplied strictly for laboratory research. It is not for human or veterinary use, and every order requires agreement to our research-use policy.

The R3 substitution (glutamate to arginine at position 3) is the main binding-protein escape; the 13-residue N-terminal extension further weakens IGFBP capture and aids stability. Together they leave receptor activity intact while freeing the molecule from sequestration.

Culture media and serum contain IGF-binding proteins that soak up added IGF-1, making effective doses unpredictable. LR3's low IGFBP affinity means the concentration you add is the concentration signalling — which is why it became the industry-standard media supplement.

The current batch is 95.1% pure by HPLC, tested by an independent US laboratory before sale — along with identity confirmation and endotoxin screening below 0.5 EU/mg. The certificate of analysis is included with every order, and the report for any specific vial is available by emailing its lot number.

IGF-1 LR3 is available in 0.5mg and 1mg vials of lyophilized powder. Quantity discounts apply automatically at checkout.

Keep sealed vials frozen at −20 °C and away from light. Once reconstituted, hold the solution at 2–8 °C and use it within the window your laboratory protocol defines.
