Selank is a synthetic cousin of tuftsin, a short immune-system peptide, extended by three amino acids for stability. It comes out of the Russian peptide-research tradition, where most of its literature was published.

Studies on it sit at the meeting point of the immune system and the brain — neurochemistry models, peptide signalling, and how immune messengers influence the central nervous system.

Keep the sealed vials in the fridge and out of direct light — they’ll hold up for a long time that way. Once a vial is mixed, keep it refrigerated and use it within the window your protocol calls for.

Every batch we sell is tested by an independent U.S. lab before it goes up for sale — that report is the certificate of analysis, and a copy is included with every order. Want the one for your exact vial? Email the lot number printed on the label to [email protected] and we’ll send it over within one business day.

Don’t take our word for it.

Frequently asked questions.

No. Everything we sell is strictly for laboratory and research use. Every vial is labeled "research use only — not for human or veterinary use", and you'll be asked to agree to our research-use policy at checkout.
Every batch is sent to an independent U.S. lab before we sell a single vial of it. They measure how pure it actually is and confirm the compound is exactly what the label says. The number you see is the number they measured — we never copy figures from a supplier's paperwork.
Yes, and we'd encourage it. Every vial has a lot number printed on the label. Email that number to [email protected] and we'll send you the full report for your exact batch, charts included, within one business day.
Keep the sealed vials in the fridge and out of direct light — they'll hold up for a long time that way. Once a vial is mixed, keep it refrigerated and use it within the window your protocol calls for.
Orders placed before 2pm ET go out the same business day. Anything after that ships the next morning. Everything is packed in protective, unbranded packaging and you'll get a tracking link by email as soon as it leaves us.
We ship across the United States, and shipping is tracked on every order. You'll see the exact cost at checkout before you pay — no surprises added at the last step.
Email us with your order number and a photo and we'll make it right — a replacement or a refund, whichever you'd rather have. Every order is covered, so you're never stuck with a vial you can't use.
Yes. Orders ship in plain, unbranded packaging with nothing on the outside describing what's inside. Your billing statement simply shows our company name.
Of course. Email [email protected] with any question — about a specific compound, a lab report, or an order in progress — and a real person will get back to you, usually the same day, Monday through Friday.

What Selank is.

Selank is a seven-amino-acid synthetic peptide: the natural immune tetrapeptide tuftsin extended by a Pro-Gly-Pro tail added for enzymatic stability. It comes out of the Russian peptide-research tradition — developed at the Institute of Molecular Genetics in Moscow — where the bulk of its literature was produced.

Tuftsin itself is a fragment of an antibody chain with well-described immune-cell activity; Selank inherits that lineage while the stabilizing tail gives it a practical lifetime in biological preparations.

Where the research points.

Selank's literature sits at the meeting point of the immune system and the brain. Behavioural studies — largely rodent anxiety-related models — make up the best-known thread, with reported modulation of GABAergic signalling and monoamine turnover. Alongside them run immunological studies tracking cytokine expression, including work on IL-6 and the Th1/Th2 balance.

For neuroimmunology labs that dual profile is the draw: a single stable probe with documented activity on both sides of the immune-CNS conversation. It's frequently studied alongside Semax, its sibling from the same research school.

On the bench.

Verified at 99.0%+ purity, supplied lyophilized with batch identity and endotoxin screening. The PGP tail makes it sturdier than its parent tuftsin, but standard handling still applies: −20 °C lyophilized, cold and prompt once in solution.

Much of the primary literature is published in Russian-language journals — worth knowing when searching; the PubMed link below covers the English-indexed portion.

The published record runs deeper than any product page should. For the primary literature, browse Selank studies on PubMed. For how every batch we sell is verified, see how we test.

Selank — common questions.

No. Selank is supplied strictly for laboratory research. It is not for human or veterinary use, and every order requires agreement to our research-use policy.

Tuftsin is a natural four-amino-acid fragment of immunoglobulin G with documented effects on immune cells. It degrades quickly, which limits study designs; Selank adds a Pro-Gly-Pro tail that resists enzymatic breakdown, giving researchers a stable version of the same pharmacophore.

Different parent molecules from the same design school. Selank extends an immune peptide (tuftsin) and is studied mainly in anxiety-related and immune models; Semax extends an ACTH fragment and is studied mainly in neurotrophin and neuroprotection models. The shared Pro-Gly-Pro tail is the family resemblance.

The current batch is 98.6% pure by HPLC, tested by an independent US laboratory before sale — along with identity confirmation and endotoxin screening below 0.5 EU/mg. The certificate of analysis is included with every order, and the report for any specific vial is available by emailing its lot number.

Selank is available in 10mg vials of lyophilized powder. Quantity discounts apply automatically at checkout.

Keep sealed vials frozen at −20 °C and away from light. Once reconstituted, hold the solution at 2–8 °C and use it within the window your laboratory protocol defines.
